What the couple requested and how we made it happen:

Megan contacted us with a list of planning tasks that she and Esan needed guidance. Invitations, budgeting, the flow of events, catering, decor, and music were all things giving them anxiety. The great thing is our system of planning helped them prioritize what was most important to them so we could focus on those aspects of their wedding day. In the end, Megan and Esan chose a caterer who could provide an island flare menu representative of their island background and we created a formal yet informal wedding design to encompass a laid-back celebration.

Things that went wrong and how we handled the situation to fix the problem:

Sometimes the unexpected happens during the moments before the ceremony begins. No one can predict that a majority of your guests will arrive late due to traffic. Megan an Esan decided to have their ceremony start later than scheduled so those that mattered most to them would have time to see them get married. What’s wonderful is that delaying the ceremony by 20 minutes didn’t cause them to miss out on any wedding photos or events because I always build hidden time slots throughout the wedding timeline to cover unexpected emergencies. So in the end dinner was served on time, specialty moments were photographed beautifully and both the bride and groom surprise outfit change was flawless!

An amazing personalized detail:

My favorite detail is the song Esan planned reminiscent of his childhood, “Eye to Eye” from Disney’s a Goofy Movie. Esan and his friends swarmed the dance floor and did the entire dance from the movie. It was the cutest thing ever!
